Has your nursery considered obtaining Millie's Mark  obtained via the NDNA.
Nurseries will be able to apply for Millie's Mark, which will be awarded as a special endorsement to childcare providers that can meet a set criteria including:

• Evidence of needs assessment for setting staff
• Evidence that all staff hold an appropriate in-date PFA (full or emergency) certificate
• Evidence of classroom-based training for one-day courses.

The awarding of Millie’s Mark will be dependent on all of the criteria being met in addition to the legal requirements as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework.

Pool Extraction Board.

RLSS / IQL have produced a new spinal cord injury management board for swimming pools.  The Pool Extraction Board (PXB)  can be operated by 2 lifeguard on pools with no freeboard or up to a 30cm freeboard with 3 lifeguards.  Did my training on this board this week so I can roll out delivery.  Conclusion: I recommend this equipment very well thought out and designed.  See link.PXB
