E Learning towards regulated first courses availlable.

I've taken the plunge and set up my business to do blended first aid i.e. part elearning and part face to face.  This means the learner does the elearning part before the classroom session and prints off the elearning certificate to prove completion.  They then attend the face to face day/s to finish the award.  Less classroom time - can even be part completed at home.

So for Paediatric first aid complete up to 6 hrs of elearning and then attend for one full day to complete the full regulated award.

For a First Aid at Work initial course, complete up to 6 hrs of elearning and then attend for 2 days classroom work to gajn the full regulated award.

Level 2 Award in Behavioural Detection Analysis (RQF)

Being able to detect the baseline behaviours (or what should be typical behaviours in a particular area at a particular time) enables us to identify anomalous behaviours (behaviours which don t quite fit in). Any person who interacts with the public has a duty to prevent situations or incidents if they are equipped with the basic skills to analyse behaviours, imagine the benefit of preventing an unlawful protest from bringing a transport hub to a halt by recognising when someone is behaving with intent? Obvious occupations that would benefit are security staff, shopping mall / centre staff, rail and airport staff, stewards at public events for example festivals/ sports grounds etc.

This is why QNUK and MaST have developed a the BDA qualification, which is available to all public facing workers to provide them with introductory skills to make a difference and enhance public safety. RTA can provide this qualification. There are two options - 1. By completion of a E Learning package which results in a completion certificate. Plus if you wish a further option 2. By then attending our centre in Warrington (or inhouse) to completed the BDA multiple choices question paper, which when passed gains you the full regulated qualification, this is not obligatory but does add credibility to the qualification.

Food safety training

All food businesses should train their staff.  The standard for this is normally Level 2 Food Safety courses, often in the form of a classroom based course and exam at the end of the course.

That's not the complete story though - while food safety certificates do not expire, food handlers are expected to maintain a high level of food safety knowledge and stay up to date.  Food businesses should provide ongoing training.

A quick way of doing this would be to provide an online training course which then would evidence a refresher/cpd event for your staff should the EHO visit your premises.
